Electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft are moving from theory into real discussion and the Low Altitude Forum: Shaping the Future of eVTOL brings that conversation to Hong Kong in January 2026. The one-day forum takes place on 6 January 2026 at the Charles K. Kao Auditorium, Hong Kong Science Park, running from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Organised by the Hong Kong eVTOL Industry Association, the forum focuses on the development of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft and the wider low-altitude economy. The programme brings together government representatives, industry leaders, manufacturers and academic experts to examine how eVTOL technologies are progressing and what is needed to support their adoption.
Across plenary talks and panel discussions, the agenda covers topics including regulatory frameworks and sandbox models, market readiness, infrastructure requirements such as unmanned traffic management and connectivity and core technology areas like navigation systems, battery development, noise control and sustainability. Discussions also look at how urban air mobility could take shape across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, drawing perspectives from both public and private sectors.
Set at the start of the year, the forum offers a focused snapshot of how the low-altitude economy and eVTOL technologies are progressing in one of Asia’s major innovation hubs. It is a structured space for technical insight, regulatory dialogue and early-stage collaboration around the practical challenges and opportunities facing this emerging field.
